Title Director General of Conservation v Hurunui District Council

Ref. Numbers C18/2003
Description Decision on reference relating to rules on plantation forestry management areas. DG of C sought provisions relating to significant landscapes, wilding pine control, water issues, natural features, indigenous vegetation, significant fauna habitats. Other parties concerned over property rights, favoured non-regulatory methods. Some of DG’s proposals were incorporated into plan, others considered inappropriate by court.
