Title Land Air Water Assn v Waikato District Council

Description This 145 page decision related to consent applications for Australasia’s largest landfill. The case also involved the Waikato River Protection Society. Environmental effects considered included potential escape of leachate, contamination of water, air emissions (dust, landfill gas) dioxins, odour, noise, vermin, windblown litter, traffic, vermin, visual effects and effects on property values.
