Introduction
This directory contains 4 sections. It is a 'quickfind' source of information to help you when you are researching and preparing submissions, or preparing to take part in meetings, council hearings, or other processes.
The individual web-pages on Resource Management Topics and Processes contain examples of court cases. Click on the case title for a brief description of the case. Cases are included as examples of RMA action being taken by community and environmental groups around New Zealand. They are not a complete list of cases relevant to each topic. The information given should not be relied on in place of independent legal advice.
See our 'Basic Skills' section for further information on finding case law relevant to your particular issues of concern.
Nearly all of the Ministry for the Environment publications in the reference lists are available free online on the MFE website, www.mfe.govt.nz. Similarly, most Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment reports are available at www.pce.govt.nz.
